We all know we need to do something about end-of-life planning, but only about 30% of Americans have wills. Guess what happens if you die without a will? The state gets to decide what to do with your stuff. Read on to learn how you can check off an important item from the Being a Grownup List. See more information below, and contact us using the form at the bottom of this page.
Invite your friends to a potluck where they'll get great food, socializing, and estate planning documents! What could be more fun and useful than that?
When you sign up, get at least five people to join you, and the price is only $149 each. Get ten and your host package is free.
Stephanie and her husband Jason Files will have the documents ready for signing and notarizing, and they'll also talk to the group briefly about ways to save money and avoid the time and hassle of probate. Don't worry; it won't be some long, boring thing. We don't want to suffer through that, either. We're fun! We promise! Besides, it's way better than spending a couple of hours in a lawyer's office. See below for how it works.
Find a date at least two weeks out to schedule the event. If we have a conflict, we'll call to find a time that works for all of us.
Create a Facebook event or email your friends and family to invite them to join you. We'll help you plan it if you need us. Really, all you have to do is tell them to GROW UP and do their wills! Stop putting it off already! Plus, it's a super deal.
Your link will send them to a program where all they have to do is answer the questions and pay. Once they submit their questionnaire, it comes to us. We'll draft all the papers and send them to each participant for review. We'll finalize them and have everything ready for the party. All they have to do is show up. If they can't make it to the event, but still want to take advantage of the great deal, no worries. We'll send them everything they need and they can find a notary and witnesses for signing at their convenience.
If you have your list of friends to invite, we can usually schedule the event about two weeks from the date you schedule. If you need more time, no problem. We will work with your schedule.
To get the discount, you must have five people sign up and pay. If ten people sign up (including you!), we'll do the host's package for free.
Once you schedule your event, we'll send the link for you to send to your guests (we can do that if you want us to). As we get responses, we'll complete the documents and send them to each person for review. When we arrive at the event, we'll have everything printed out and ready for signatures, witnesses, and the notary (we provide).
Married couples must each have their own documents. You can see more information about this on our estate planning pages.
If you have questions before you schedule, let us know.
